Why is our society rotting at the seams?
Society is rotting at the seams because it has lost its absolutes. Scripture has absolutes, but society no longer says these are absolutes. Ignoring them puts one on thin ice, sliding toward doom. This loss is the root cause, and Scripture warns against it.
Les explains that society is rotting at the seams because it has lost its absolutes. He notes that we as a society no longer say, 'these are absolutes,' but Scripture does have absolutes. When you ignore them, you are on thin ice and sliding to your doom. He illustrates this with Hebrews 9:22, an absolute that almost all things are by law purged with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission. He urges that we must hang on to that and not sidetrack it because it is an absolute.
