What does 2 Thessalonians 2 say happens after the church departs?

Second Thessalonians chapter 2 teaches that after the departure of the church, that wicked one shall be revealed. This follows the promise that we shall be caught up to meet Him in the air, so the wicked one is revealed after the church departs.

Les explains that First and Second Thessalonians take the Word up to glory. First Thessalonians chapter 4 promises that we shall be caught up to meet Him in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Then Second Thessalonians chapter 2 says that after the departure of the church, that wicked one shall be revealed. Those two letters point on up to the fruition of everything, when we will finally be in glory with our Crucified, Resurrected, and Ascended Lord.

2 Thessalonians 2:8
