Is it wrong for a believer to say 'I go by what Jesus says'?
It is wrong for a believer to say that, because the four Gospels are still 90 percent Jewish and have been set aside in God's program. Believers are to get into Paul's writings, and going by Jesus' words in the Gospels is compared to returning to Leviticus.
Les teaches that the four Gospels are still 90% Jewish and have been set aside; they are no longer in God's program. He clarifies this does not mean throwing them away any more than the Old Testament, but it is just as ridiculous to say, "Well I go by what Jesus says," as it is to go back to Leviticus chapter 5 and say you cannot touch a dead thing because then you have to take a sacrifice to the altar at the temple. Les says it is the same difference. Believers must put these things into perspective of the unfolding and progressive revelation, even of the letters of the Apostle Paul.
