Les Feldick Bible Study

Was Moses a weak man that everyone walked on?

No. Moses was not a weak man whom everyone walked on. Scripture calls him the meekest man who ever lived, but meekness means being pliable and usable by God, not lacking gumption. Moses was a leader, highly educated in Egypt, a military leader, and likely a contractor or civil engineer.

Les teaches that meekness is not weakness or being a milk-toast person everyone walks on. The old fellow who never had enough gumption to respond, whether walked on by his wife, neighbor, or somebody, is not the biblical picture. Moses, though called the meekest man that ever lived, was a leader, highly educated in all the schools of Egypt, a military leader, and in Les's view a contractor and civil engineer. His meekness was an attitude that made him pliable, moldable, and usable by God, so God could use him, and Moses became a great man.
