Was Moses a weak man that people walked all over?
No. Scripture presents Moses as a highly educated leader, a military leader, and a man of many abilities. The Bible calls him the meekest man who ever lived, but meekness meant he was pliable, moldable, and usable by God—not weak or easily trampled.
Les explains that meekness is not the same as being a person everyone walks on. The old fellow who was always walked on and never had enough gumption to respond illustrates the wrong idea. Moses, however, was a leader: highly educated in all the schools of Egypt, a military leader, and perhaps a contractor and civil engineer. Moses did everything, yet the Bible calls him the meekest man who ever lived. That did not mean people could walk on him; it meant his attitude was pliable and moldable so God could use him, and Moses became a great man.
