Where does agape love come from?
Agape love comes as a result of the indwelling and outworking of the Holy Spirit. When it seeks another person's highest good, it enhances what is good. It affects our lifestyle, so that love fulfills the whole Law by operating in and through us.

Because it seeks the other person's highest good, it does nothing but enhance the things that are good. By operating love, we become fulfillers of the whole Law. This inner work of the Spirit is contrasted with joy, which also comes from within because of the Holy Spirit indwelling us and what God has done on our behalf, whereas happiness is only the result of circumstances.
