Is the spirit that draws you back into a false gospel the same spirit that brought you out?

No. The persuasion drawing believers back under legalism does not come from the Holy Spirit who brought them out of paganism. It comes from the same evil spirit that formerly held them in paganism until the Gospel freed them, for Satan never gives up.

Les explains from Galatians, verse 8, that this persuasion to go back under legalism did not come from the Holy Spirit who brought them out of paganism. Instead, it came from the same evil spirit that had held them in paganism until the Gospel freed them. Satan never gives up; he does not care what he uses as long as he can keep people from the truth, and he will even use good things while it is still the evil spirit speaking rather than the Holy Spirit. This fits the constant warfare every believer faces between the new nature, which is Holy Spirit driven, and the old nature, which still has its roots in the Satanic powers of the curse. The believer community and the world are total opposites, so the spirit taking them back into a false gospel is not the same Spirit that brought them out—it is the opposite.

Galatians 5:8

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Is the spirit drawing people into a false gospel the same spirit that saved them?

Paul says the spirit that is taking the Galatians back into a false gospel is not the same spirit that brought them out — it is the opposite; the persuasion does not come from the one who called them (Galatians 5:8).
