What can we do after we believe the Gospel?
After believing the Gospel, the believer can claim all the promises God has given in His Word. God then opens everything up, breaks the chains of satanic power, and makes us a whole new person. The believer's part is simply to believe; God does the work of salvation and transformation.
Les teaches that when we face impossible odds and are surrounded by the enemy, God does not tell us to hurry up and do something. God says the same thing today: do nothing but believe. Believe the Gospel, believe the plan of salvation, and then God opens everything up. God breaks the chains of satanic power and makes us a whole new person. Les also clarifies that the hope of Scripture is not a wish like hoping it rains tomorrow; it is believing in an absolute fact—that the Gospel is true and secure. When we have believed it, we can claim all the promises God has given in His Word. It is not a matter of hoping we can get there, but of claiming those promises.
