Les Feldick Bible Study

How do new believers begin in the Christian life, and what do they desire?

New believers begin as babes in Christ, regardless of age, and desire the sincere milk of the Word—the simpler teachings of Scripture. As they grow in grace and knowledge through the Christian experience, they eventually become ready for the strong meat of the Word.

Les teaches that when a person comes in as a new believer, they begin as babes in Christ and desire the sincere milk of the Word—the simpler things. Whether six or sixty, they grow in grace and knowledge through the Christian experience until they are ready for the strong meat of the Word. Alongside this, positionally, the moment one is saved, God places them by adoption into full maturity and responsibility in the body of Christ, like a tutored son presented as a full partner. Ephesians 1:5 speaks of having been predestinated unto the adoption, which does not mean being legally transformed from one family to another.
