Where are we placed the moment we are redeemed?
The moment a person is redeemed, they are placed by the right of adoption into a position of full maturity in the body of Christ. God puts the saved person immediately into that place of full responsibility, positionally, even while they grow as a babe in Christ.
Les explains that there are two concepts in Scripture. While the new believer begins as a babe in Christ and grows through the Christian experience, positionally the moment of salvation places the believer immediately into full maturity in the body of Christ. This is by the right of adoption, as Ephesians 1:5 states, having predestinated us unto the adoption. Les likens it to a tutored son who, when the day came, was presented as a full partner with the father. So positionally, God puts the redeemed person right up in that place of full responsibility.
