Les Feldick Bible Study

What is required for us to receive the adoption of sons?

Receiving the adoption of sons requires the price of redemption paid in full by Christ's blood, which could never happen without it. Paul emphasizes that God is the justifier of the one who believes, not by other things but by faith in Him.

Les teaches that Christ was made of a woman first to be King of Israel, but when Israel rejected that, His eternal purpose was to go to the cross, shed His blood, and pay the full price of redemption. That redemption first applied to those under the law (Israel), but it did not stop there; it spread to the whole human race. Paul writes to Gentiles that we might receive the adoption of sons, which could never happen without the price of redemption. It had to be one of the first processes in the plan of salvation. Romans 3 reinforces that God is just and the justifier of the one who believes.

Galatians 4:5

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
