How long was it from Abraham's call to the Passover night in Egypt?

Scripture indicates the span was exactly 430 years. God brought Abraham out of Ur of the Chaldees at the appointed time, set him toward Canaan to become father of the Jewish race, and precisely 430 years later came the Passover night in Egypt, when Moses was ready to lead Israel out of captivity.

Les teaches that God's timing is never late nor early. He points to Abraham, whom God brought out of Ur of the Chaldees exactly at the right time and set on the path to Canaan to become the father of the Jewish race. Exactly 430 years after that call came the night of the Passover in Egypt, with Moses ready to lead Israel out of captivity. Les also notes the 40-year span from leaving Egypt to entering the Promised Land, and that the Passover night in Egypt fell on the same day and month, 40 years later, when Joshua led them across the Jordan. He uses these as examples that all God's timing is right on.
