What did God give Israel when He put them under the law?

When God placed Israel under the law, He gave them the Ten Commandments, the priesthood, the temple and its ritual, and explicit instructions covering both their spiritual and everyday lives. Everything was prescribed—what they could and could not do, and what they could and could not eat.

Les explains that after the nation of Israel appeared, God did something totally different: He put them under the law. This was unlike anything in the previous fifteen hundred years. God set down the Ten Commandments, established the priesthood, the temple, and all its ritual, and told Israel explicitly everything they were to do. That instruction covered both their spiritual life and their everyday life. Everything was prescribed—what they could not do, and what they could and could not eat.

Exodus 20:1

And God spake all these words, saying,

Exodus 25:9

According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
