What do believers become if they are Abraham's seed in the Spirit?
Believers who are Christ's become Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise in the realm of the Spirit. They do not become Jews; instead they become the spiritual offspring of Abraham, receiving the promise, because God's blessings of salvation extend to the whole human race.
Les teaches that if a person is Christ's, then that person is Abraham's seed. He stresses that this does not make a believer a Jew, contrary to what some teach. Instead, believers become the offspring of Abraham in the realm of the Spirit, and as Abraham's seed in the Spirit they become heirs according to the promise. Les ties this back to Genesis 12 and God's covenant with Abram, where God promised to bless those who bless Abram and curse those who curse him. He says God is looking beyond the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and beyond the Law to the Age of Grace, when His blessings of salvation go to the whole human race.
And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
