Why does the Bible conclude everyone under sin?

Scripture concludes the whole human race—Jew and Gentile—under sin because no one can keep the law in its entirety and be righteous enough for God's Heaven. This universal condemnation establishes the purpose: the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Les explains that Scripture has concluded all—the whole human race, Jew and Gentile—under sin because no person can keep the law in its entirety and thereby be righteous enough for God's Heaven. The condemnation is universal. The reason given is that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe; faith is believing, and so the two words become synonymous. Before faith came, we were kept under the law, and all the way back to Adam the one criteria for salvation was faith.

Ephesians 2:22

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
