What is the answer to the dilemma of all being under sin in Galatians 3:22?
The answer is the promise by faith in Jesus Christ, given to those who believe. Scripture has concluded all people—rich and poor, good and bad—under sin, and law-keeping cannot save anyone. So the dilemma of universal condemnation is resolved by God's promise received through faith in Christ.
Les explains that the Law can only condemn the whole human race; it condemns good and bad people day in and day out. Even upright, nice people who keep much of the Law will fail somewhere, and James says if you fail one, you are guilty of all. Therefore no one stands a chance by law keeping. Galatians 3:22 is the great answer to the even greater dilemma: Scripture has concluded all—everybody, rich and poor, black and white—under sin, so that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them who believe.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
