What does God give believers instead of the Ten Commandments after salvation?

After salvation, God gives believers the Holy Spirit instead of the Ten Commandments. The Holy Spirit becomes the believer’s guideline, not the Ten Commandments. Being freed from the Law does not mean moral wrongs are approved; the Spirit still shows that killing, stealing, and adultery are wrong.

Les teaches that in this Age of Grace, Gentiles receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. As a result of the salvation experience, God gives something 10,000 times better than the Ten Commandments—the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, not the Ten Commandments, becomes the believer’s guideline. Not being under the Law does not mean killing, stealing, and adultery are acceptable; the Spirit shows those things are wrong. Les points to Romans 7, where Grace Age believers are delivered from the Law, and says this is so simple a sixth grader can read it.
