How are members of the Body of Christ just like Abraham?
Members of the Body of Christ are just like Abraham because they possess imputed righteousness. Abraham was saved by faith plus nothing, and he had righteousness imputed to him. Likewise, members of the Body of Christ have imputed righteousness. This shared imputed righteousness makes them just like Abraham.
Les teaches that Abraham was saved by faith plus nothing, and Abraham had imputed righteousness. In the same way, members of the Body of Christ have imputed righteousness, which makes them just like Abraham. Les points out that no one else in all of God's economy had that privilege. This contrasts with early Acts believers, who still had to repent and be baptized—faith plus something—rather than faith alone.
