What covenant did God make with Adam after the fall?

God made a covenant with Adam that promised the curse's ramifications, including weeds and thistles, yet centered on a Redeemer. He placed enmity between Satan and the woman and between their seeds. The woman's seed, Christ, would bruise Satan's head, though Satan would bruise His heel.

Les explains that after Adam and Eve ate, they plunged the human race under the curse, and Genesis 3 records the covenant God makes with Adam. It is not a pretty covenant, because God promises all the ramifications of the curse, with everything coming under it, including the weeds, thistles, and associated things. But the very center of this covenant is the promise of a Redeemer. In verse 15 God says He will put enmity between Satan and the woman, and between Satan's seed and her seed. That seed of the woman is Christ, so there would be a running battle between Satan and Christ. The seed of the woman would bruise Satan's head, which He did at the cross, but Satan would bruise His heel, which Satan accomplished when he caused Christ's suffering at Calvary. From this Genesis 3 promise of a Redeemer through the woman, Les builds the Abrahamic covenant, showing that through Abraham and his offspring the seed of the woman would come.
