Les Feldick Bible Study

What does most of Christendom believe about Israel and the church according to Les?

Most of Christendom, about 85 to 90 percent, believes that because Israel killed her Messiah, God put Israel out of His mind and transferred all the Old Testament promises given to Israel to the church. This view includes Protestantism, the Catholic Church, and other groups that ascribe at least part of their belief to the Bible.

Les teaches that when he uses the term Christendom, he means any organization, denomination, or similar group that ascribes at least part of its belief to the Bible. He says roughly 85 to 90 percent of Christendom—including Protestantism, the Catholic Church, and others—believes that since Israel killed her Messiah, God put Israel out of His mind and transferred all the Old Testament promises given to Israel to the church. But Les stresses that the Bible flies in the face of that thinking. He points to 2 Samuel 7 to show Israel is not there by accident but under the directive of a sovereign God, who can do whatever He wants.
