What must we constantly remember about Christ?
We must constantly remember that Christ loved us and gave Himself for us, and that He is faithful, never letting us down. Our life in the flesh is lived by His faithfulness, as He empowers us to live a life pleasing to God.
Les explains that the life we now live in the flesh is lived by the faithfulness of the One who bought us, because He is faithful and will never let us down. Paul writes of the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me, and that He died for you. This contrasts with Peter’s Acts 2 statement that you killed the Messiah. God is able to keep us and empower us to live a life that is pleasing, showing that He loved us and gave Himself for us, and this is what we have to constantly remember.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
