What is the Law of Faith?

The Law of Faith is simply to believe the Gospel. It excludes all boasting because the salvation verses speak nothing of what we can do; they call only for faith. Christ is the justifier of the one who believes. Therefore, no one can brag, since the Law of Faith rules out human works.

Les teaches that the Law of Faith is to believe the Gospel. In verse 27, Paul asks where boasting is, and the answer is that it is excluded by the Law of Faith. Les emphasizes that it does not say the justifier is the one who does this or that or keeps the commandments; rather, He is the justifier of him who believes. Les points to his list of salvation verses and says not one of them says anything about what we can do, except believe. So the Law of Faith leaves no room for human bragging.

Romans 3:27

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
