When did Peter come to Antioch?

Peter came to Antioch sometime after the Jerusalem Council. Scripture indicates he visited the Antioch church, and Paul withstood him to the face publicly there because Peter was to be blamed. The visit occurred after the council's resolution, when Gentile believers were free from dietary laws.

Les explains that Peter came to Antioch sometime after the Jerusalem Council, and he came up to visit the Antioch church. The context notes believers saved by the Gospel of Grace were free to eat whatever they wanted and were not under any dietary law. When Peter arrived, Paul withstood him to the face publicly because Peter was to be blamed. Les points out this was not the first time Peter stumbled; he was human like everyone. Les also imagines Paul may have needed to stand on something to look Peter in the face, since Peter was a big tall Galilean and Paul was likely shorter.

Galatians 2:11

But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
