What did Paul do after meeting Peter in Jerusalem?
After meeting Peter in Jerusalem for about two weeks, Paul went up into the area of his old hometown of Tarsus, ended up at Antioch, and then began his missionary journeys. Later, after taking his gospel to the Gentiles at Antioch, Jerusalem believers called him to the Acts 15 council.
Les explains the chronology: Paul and Peter met in Jerusalem in A.D. 40 for a short period, about two weeks, with none of the other apostles present. After that meeting, Paul went up into the area of his old hometown of Tarsus, ended up at Antioch, and then began his missionary journeys. After he had been holding forth at Antioch and taking his gospel to the Gentiles, the Jerusalem believers became shook up and called him down to Jerusalem for the council of Acts chapter 15, also referred to in Galatians chapter 2, which took place in A.D. 51.
