What does Leviticus 18:6 and following say about the Canaanites and Egyptians?

Scripture stipulates graphically all the immoral sins of the Canaanites and Egyptians, which believers were to have nothing to do with. Those things remain forbidden; grace does not free believers to eat blood, practice immorality, or worship idols, and that should be remembered.

Les explains that Leviticus 18:6 and following goes down and stipulates graphically all the immoral sins of the Canaanites and Egyptians, which believers were to have nothing to do with. He notes that this is still applicable, because being under grace does not mean we are free to eat blood, practice immorality, or worship idols. Those things are, as the German would say, verboten—forbidden—and we better remember that. The preceding verses also command them not to walk in the ordinances of Canaan but to do God's judgments and keep His ordinances, because He is the LORD their God.

Leviticus 18:6

None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
