Who was constantly opposing Paul and Barnabas's congregations, and what did they want?

The Judaizers constantly opposed the congregations Paul and Barnabas established everywhere they went. They claimed Paul's Gentile converts could not be saved unless they kept the Law of Moses and practiced circumcision, wanting to bring them back under the Law.

Les explains that the church in Antioch had become predominantly Gentile, and Paul and Barnabas labored there and moved out into Asia Minor and Greece. Everywhere they went, their congregations were constantly subjected to Judaizers who tried to bring them back under the Law. These Judaizers claimed Paul's converts could not be saved unless they kept the Law of Moses and practiced circumcision. After many years, the issue came to a head, and Paul and Barnabas were sent by the Lord's direction to Jerusalem to confront Peter and the hierarchy there, which Paul rehearses in Galatians chapter 2.
