Who was opposing Paul and Barnabas's Gentile congregations everywhere they went?

The Judaizers constantly opposed the Gentile congregations Paul and Barnabas established everywhere they went. These false teachers tried to bring the converts back under the Law, claiming they could not be saved unless they kept the Law of Moses, practiced circumcision, and followed other legal requirements.

Les explains that the church in Antioch became predominantly Gentile, and Paul and Barnabas labored there and moved out into Asia Minor and Greece. Everywhere they went, their little congregations were constantly subjected to the Judaizers, who tried to bring them back under the Law. These Judaizers claimed Paul’s converts could not be saved unless they kept the Law of Moses, practiced circumcision, and so forth. This conflict eventually came to a head, and Paul and Barnabas were sent by the Lord’s direction to Jerusalem to confront Peter and the hierarchy there.
