Who was opposing Paul at every turn?

The Judaizers from Jerusalem were opposing Paul at every turn. Whether they were believing Jews, influenced by Peter and the Eleven, or from the Orthodox, they entered Gentile congregations and insisted that Paul’s Gospel of Grace alone was insufficient; they demanded Law-keeping and circumcision for salvation.

Les explains that all during the book of Acts, time was moving on, and 14 years after his conversion Paul had been out in the Gentile world preaching his Gospel of Grace. In the meantime, as seen in the Corinthian letters, the Judaizers from Jerusalem were opposing him at every turn. Whether they were believing Jews, whether they were under the influence of Peter and the Eleven, or whether they were from the Orthodox, it made no difference. They would come into Gentile congregations and say that you cannot be saved by Paul’s Gospel alone; you have to keep the Law and practice circumcision, or you cannot be saved.
