Les Feldick Bible Study

Where and for how long did Paul stay after his conversion, according to Les?

After his conversion Paul was taken from Damascus into Arabia, probably to Mount Sinai, where he remained three years. Following that period he went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and abode with him fifteen days, according to Galatians 1.

Les teaches that after Paul’s conversion, God brought him out of Damascus and took him down into Arabia, probably to Mount Sinai, where he stayed for three years. Les points out that this was a long time alone, during which God was pouring out the truths that would later come from the apostles’ pen in the epistles, except the prison epistles, which Les feels were further revelation, probably while Paul was imprisoned at Caesarea. After those three years, Paul went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and stayed with him fifteen days—two weeks. He saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother, who would later take the role of moderator by Acts chapter 15.
