How bad is the apostasy in the church today according to Les?
The apostasy in the church today is alarming. Believers have been programmed to watch error creep in and simply roll with it, leaving many unable to see what Scripture says. Those who pervert the Gospel are under condemnation as accursed.
Les teaches that the present apostasy is alarming and far worse than what was imagined decades earlier. He recounts a 1971 booklet by J. Vernon McGee describing a conversation with the president of Moody Bible Institute, who said he could never envision the Church’s apostasy short of the tribulation. Les asks what that man would think today, saying they could not handle it. He explains that believers have been programmed to see error creeping in and just roll with it, yet the Church is in such a state of apostasy that it is alarming. He asks why people cannot see what these verses say and warns that those perverting the Gospel are under condemnation as accursed.
