Where did Paul have his first bad experiences on the first missionary journey?

Paul's first bad experiences on his first missionary journey occurred in the southern half of Galatia, in what is now Turkey. He visited the cities of Antioch in Pisidia, Derbe, and Lystra. The stoning episode happened between Derbe and Lystra.

Les explains that Galatia was the central part of what is today the land of Turkey, and it was probably in the southern half of Galatia that Paul had his first bad experiences on his first missionary journey. He visited the cities of Antioch in Pisidia, Derbe, and Lystra, and between Derbe and Lystra he had the stoning episode. These were little churches Paul had no doubt planted himself, and they were now being bombarded by Judaizers, the Jewish element from Jerusalem, who insisted that you had to keep the Law and practice circumcision or you couldn't be saved.
