In what order were Paul's letters actually written?
The letters were not written in New Testament order. 1 and 2 Thessalonians were written first, then probably Galatians and Romans, then perhaps Corinthians. Later, toward the end of his ministry, came 1 and 2 Timothy, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon, and Titus.
Les teaches that all of Paul's letters are not in chronological order, nowhere near it. He explains that 1 and 2 Thessalonians were written first, then probably Galatians and Romans, and then perhaps Corinthians, all pretty close together. Later, toward the end of Paul's ministry, the prison epistles were written: 1 and 2 Timothy, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon, and Titus. Les also notes that in every available New Testament manuscript, Paul's letters always appear in the same order as our New Testament today, confirming the Holy Spirit's control.
