In what order did Paul write his letters?
The chronological order was Thessalonians first, probably Galatians next, then Romans, then Corinthians, then Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians, and finally 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. This is not the New Testament order, which preserves Paul's letters in the same sequence but not chronologically.
Les explains that Paul's letters are not placed in the New Testament in the chronological order they were written, yet they remain in the exact order the Holy Spirit wanted. Other New Testament books may appear in different orders, but Paul's letters are always in the same order. Chronologically, Thessalonians was written first, probably then Galatians, then Romans, then the Corinthians, then Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and then first and second Timothy and Titus. Galatians was written about two years before the Corinthian letters, and its theme is to convince believers they are not under Law but under Grace. Paul also immediately reminds his hearers of the authority of his apostleship.
