What is our part in being saved by grace?

The believer’s responsibility is not legalistic works or Law-keeping, since grace means nothing can be done to merit favor with God. The only thing a person can do is believe that everything God has said is true and that everything He has done has come from His direction.

Les explains that the Galatians had not abandoned Christ outright, but had turned from Paul’s Gospel of pure Grace toward Judaizers who insisted on practicing the Law. He stresses that believers are not under Law but under Grace. Grace is simply the fact that there is nothing you and I can do to merit favor with God; the only thing we can do is believe that everything God has said is true and everything He has done has been from His direction.
