What is the only thing we can do to respond to God under Grace?
Under Grace, the only response is to believe that everything God has said is true and that everything He has done has been from His direction. Grace means there is nothing a person can do to merit favor with God, so the response is faith, not legalistic works.
Les explains that the Galatians had not turned their backs on Christ but on Paul's Gospel of pure Grace, bending toward Judaizers who suggested they had to practice the Law. He stresses, "You're not under Law, you're under Grace." Grace is the fact that there is nothing you and I can do to merit favor with God. The only thing we can do is believe that everything God has said is true and everything He has done has been from His direction.
