What did Paul say he could not comprehend about the Galatians?

Paul marveled that the Galatian believers were so soon removed from the One who called them into the grace of Christ, turning from the Gospel of Grace to another gospel. He could not comprehend why they were being hoodwinked back under legalism by Judaizers who demanded circumcision and temple worship.

Les explains that Paul is getting to the heart of the matter. Paul had received word that the Galatian believers were being besieged by Judaizers who wanted to bring them back under the Law, practice circumcision, and practice temple worship. Paul says, “I marvel.” He could hardly comprehend how these people, who as in Thessalonians had turned from idols to the Living God, were now not satisfied and were being hoodwinked to go back under legalism. He cannot comprehend that they are so soon removed from Him who called them into the Grace of Christ—not the Law of Christ—and were moving from the Grace of Christ, or the Gospel of the Grace of Christ, into another gospel.

Galatians 1:6
