How were the three persons of the Godhead manifested at Jesus' baptism?

At Jesus' baptism, God the Father spoke from heaven, saying of Jesus, 'This is my beloved Son,' while the Holy Spirit came down. The Son was the one being baptized. Thus the three co-equal persons of the Godhead were simultaneously manifested.

Les explains that at Christ's baptism the three persons of the Godhead were manifested together: God the Father spoke and identified Jesus as His beloved Son, and the Holy Spirit descended. This displays the co-equal Trinity, each person distinct yet present. Les ties this to the Corinthian letters where Paul, under the Holy Spirit's inspiration, reverses the order and says, 'the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all,' placing all three persons in one verse. The baptism provides a clear picture of the Godhead in action.
