What is God looking for in men and women?
God seeks men, women, boys, and girls who can be totally and completely sold out to Him. He does not demand or force such commitment, yet He desires people fully devoted to God, willing to surrender everything, even material wealth and family ties, to carry the Gospel.
Les explains that being totally, completely sold out to God is almost impossible for a man, but this is precisely what God is looking for. God will not demand or force it, but He desires men, women, boys, and girls who can literally be sold out to God. As an example, Paul left his material wealth behind, counted it dumb for the Gospel, and turned his back on everything to reach pagan, ungodly, immoral Gentiles. Les also notes that Paul was likely a member of the Sanhedrin, which required family, so he probably had a wife and family and may have lost them because of his sold-out commitment to Christ.
