What happened to the body when the Jews stoned someone to death?

The corpse was obscene. Jews used rocks so large that it took two hands to smash them down on the victim, and by the time they finished, the body was literally pummeled until it was obscene. The Apostle Paul endured such a stoning.

Les explains that stoning was even worse than the 39 lashes. He recalls reading a biography on the Apostle Paul that described how, when the Jews stoned someone to death, the corpse was obscene. They used rocks so big it took two hands to smash down on the victim, and by the time they were through, the person was literally pummeled to where they were obscene. The Apostle Paul went through that. Les reminds us that in our western culture most of us have never had to suffer for our faith, yet this is what the man had to go through so we could have our New Testament.
