Who is Christ Jesus according to Philippians 2?

Philippians 2 presents Christ Jesus as being in the form of God and not considering equality with God something to be grasped, because He was God. As the God of creation, He went far deeper into absolute poverty in the spiritual realm, beyond human comprehension.

Les explains that Philippians 2:5-7 speaks of Christ Jesus, who was in the form of God and did not think it robbery or something to be equal with God, because He was God. Although He possessed all the wealth of the universe, for our sakes He became poor, illustrating materially that foxes have holes and birds have nests, but the Son of Man had no place to lay His head. Yet the greater poverty was spiritual, as He went far deeper into absolute poverty, beyond human comprehension, as the Word declares.
