Why did God put it on the Gentile believers' hearts to give to the Jewish believers?

God put it on Gentile believers' hearts to give to the Jewish believers in Jerusalem because those Jewish believers had been caught in the fact that the King and the Kingdom did not come, leaving them poor and destitute. The collection was for the Jerusalem saints.

Les explains that in I Corinthians chapter 16, Paul writes concerning the collection for the saints, specifically the Jerusalem saints. He had given order to the churches of Galatia that on the first day of the week every one should lay by in store as God had prospered, so there would be no collections when he came. Les teaches that what God was laying on the hearts of these Gentile believers was the necessity of those Jewish believers who got caught in the fact that the King and the Kingdom didn't come. They were poor and destitute, so the Gentile believers were moved to give to them.
