Why did God save us?
God saved us not merely to sit or escape hellfire, but to serve. As new creations in Christ, we are ambassadors for Christ, called to let the world know they have already been reconciled to God, and to be useful in His vineyard in whatever capacity He gives.
Les explains that God did not save us to sit or just to escape hellfire, but we are saved to serve. He points out that we are a new creature, a new creation in Christ Jesus, and as Grace Age believers we are ambassadors for Christ. Our job is to let the world know they have already been reconciled—it is done, it is finished. Using the analogy of a government ambassador who stays in communication with the home government, Les shows that after teaching we are ambassadors in chapter 5, chapter 6 calls us to service: to be useful in God's vineyard in whatever particular capacity He may give to each one of us. He then quotes Isaiah: 'Behold, now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.'
