Who was it that took on the sin of the world for us?

Christ, the sinless Lamb of God, the Eternal, Sovereign Creator God, took on the sin of the world for us. God made Him to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Scripture declares Christ has already reconciled us unto Himself; believe it.

Les explains from verse 21 that God made Christ to be sin. He identifies Christ as the precious, sinless Lamb of God, the Eternal, Sovereign Creator God, who took on the sin of the world for us. The purpose is that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Les also stresses that Christ has already reconciled the world unto Himself and urges people to believe it. He describes believers as ambassadors and representatives of heaven, pleading with others to be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
