What has God the Father done with believers regarding darkness and the kingdom of His Son?
God the Father has delivered believers from the power of darkness and translated them into the kingdom of His dear Son. He has made them fit to share the inheritance of the saints in light. That kingdom is in heaven, making believers citizens of heaven and members of the Kingdom of Christ.
Les explains from Colossians 1:12-13 that Paul is praying for Gentile believers and calls them to give thanks unto the Father. The Father has made believers meet, or prepared them, to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. He has also delivered them from the power of darkness and translated them into the kingdom of His dear Son. Les emphasizes that this kingdom is in heaven, so believers are now citizens of heaven because they are members of that Kingdom of Christ. They are left here as ambassadors of their heavenly homeland.
