Why did Paul keep bringing up the Gospel in his writings?

The Holy Spirit prompted Paul to repeatedly bring up the Gospel—that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. This repetition kept the central message before believers, guarding them against false gospels and calling them to live not for themselves but for the One who died and rose for them.

Les explains that Scripture constantly brings this in, and the Gospel kept popping up throughout all of Paul's writing. Paul delineates it in 1 Corinthians 15: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Les emphasizes that if we believe anything but that, we are not believing the Gospel, and it is a false gospel. This is why the Holy Spirit prompted the man to bring it up, and bring it up, and bring it up—how that He died for our sins and He rose again. The context also ties this to 2 Corinthians 5:15, that He died for all, so those who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again.
