If Christ died for all, why doesn't everyone enjoy the results of His death?

Christ died substitutionally for every man, but not everyone enjoys the results of His death because they have not believed it. For those who believe the Gospel and become spiritually alive, they should no longer live unto themselves but unto Him who died for them and rose again.

Les explains from Hebrews 2 that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, and was crowned with glory and honor, so that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. He died the death that every human being should have had, but He did it substitutionally on their behalf. Les says it is a waste that God has done everything every human being ever needed for salvation, yet the vast majority are walking it underfoot. Turning to II Corinthians 5:15, since He died for all, not everybody is going to enjoy the results of His death because they have not believed it. But for those who have believed the Gospel and become spiritually alive, they should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again. Les is confident God does not expect every believer to suffer as the Apostle Paul did.

2 Corinthians 5:15

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
