What did God promise Israel He would do for them before they entered the land?

God promised to have everything ready for Israel before they entered the land. He would drive out their enemies, and they would only have to occupy. He told them to go up and possess the land and said, "Fear not, neither be discouraged."

Les explains that God had told Israel He would have everything ready for them. He would drive out their enemies, and all they would have to do is occupy. The sending of the twelve spies was not God's idea; it arose from Israel's weakness of the flesh. They said they did not know and asked to send spies. In His goodness and graciousness, God permitted it, but it was not His intention. Moses read, "Go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee, Fear not, neither be discouraged." Israel, however, did not really believe God would do what He said and wanted men to search out the land and confirm it.

Deuteronomy 1:21

Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
