How fast did God say He would drive out the Canaanites?

God said He would not drive the Canaanites out all at once; He would drive them out just fast enough for Israel to occupy the homes, wells, and vineyards, preventing wild animals from taking over the land before they arrived.

Les explains that God told Israel He would not drive out all the Canaanites at once. If He emptied the land too quickly, wild animals could take over before Israel arrived. Instead, He would drive them out just fast enough so Israel could occupy the homes the Canaanites had built, the wells they had dug, and the vineyards they had planted. God said He would use hornets as well as other means to drive them out, and all Israel had to do was go in and take the land.

How fast would God drive out the Canaanites for Israel?

God would not drive the Canaanites out all at once. He would expel them only as fast as Israel could occupy the land, so that wild animals would not take over before the Israelites arrived. He would clear them out just fast enough for Israel to inherit the homes, wells, and vineyards already prepared.
