Where is the Ark of the Covenant according to Revelation?

Revelation 11:19 reveals that the Ark of the Covenant is in heaven. When God’s temple in heaven was opened, the Ark of His Testament, also called the Covenant, was seen there. It had been missing since the Babylonian captivity, but Scripture locates it in the heavenly temple during the Tribulation.

Les explains that the Ark of the Covenant has been gone ever since the Babylonian captivity and Nebuchadnezzar’s invasion, and nothing indicates the Babylonians carried it away. Turning to Revelation 11, he reads verses 18–19, where the temple of God is opened in heaven and the Ark of His Testament—the Covenant—is seen there. This occurs amid Tribulation events, with lightnings, voices, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. Les also notes that some claim to know the Ark’s location, and Israel may frantically look for it when the temple is rebuilt.

Revelation 11:19

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
