Where do the Ten Commandments come from?
The Ten Commandments come from the Creator Himself. He knew when He created mankind in the garden that this is how man would have to interrelate with his fellow man as well as with God Himself. Their origin is therefore divine, not human, and their purpose is right relationship with God and others.
Les teaches that the commandments do not originate with man but come from the Creator Himself. He explains that God knew, when He created mankind in the garden in the first place, that this is how man would have to interrelate with his fellow man as well as with God Himself. Les also stresses that if you remember nothing else from the half hour, when you have loved another, you have fulfilled the law. So the context presents the commandments as divinely given and tied to love and right relationship.
